Tattletail is a keystroke recorder. It should be blunt about what it needs and what it does with it.

Accessibility

Required to replay. It's what lets Tattletail move your cursor and press keys on your behalf.

Input Monitoring

Required to record. It's what lets Tattletail see the events as you make them.

What leaves your Mac

Nothing. No telemetry, no analytics, no account — it never phones home. Recordings live only on your Mac, owner-only (0600) and excluded from backups:

~/Library/Application Support/Tattletail/

Password fields

macOS blocks all apps from seeing keystrokes typed into secure fields. Tattletail warns you when it happens rather than silently recording a gap.

Deleting the app leaves your recordings. Delete the folder above to remove them.
