Getting started
Tattletail records what you do with the mouse and keyboard, then does it again on command. A few minutes and you're running.
1. Get the app
Two editions, same app. The free edition is a signed, notarised download on GitHub. The paid edition ($19, one-time) adds the power features and installs right over free, keeping your recordings and permissions.
2. Install
Open the DMG and drag Tattletail to Applications. It needs macOS 26 or later and runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel.
3. Grant two permissions
On first launch it asks for Accessibility and Input Monitoring, and explains what each is for. Accessibility lets it replay; Input Monitoring lets it record. Grant both and it restarts itself.
4. Record, then replay
Hit Record in the title bar, do the thing you're tired of doing, hit Stop — it's on the record. Then pick the recording and press Replay, or set a speed, a repeat count, or a schedule first.
Anything can be stopped with ⌥⌘. — from anywhere, at any point in a replay.
